A better angle makes better evidence.
You do not need a studio. A steady phone, enough space, and one intentional camera position make the largest difference.
Place the camera on the hand line.
Set the lens approximately at hand height, level with the ground, and aimed along the target line. Leave space beyond the golfer so the clubhead remains visible at the top and finish.
Center the camera near the torso.
Set the lens approximately at hand height and perpendicular to the target line. Frame enough ground on both sides for the entire club and finish.
Before you press record
- 1Keep the full golfer, hands, club, and ball visible from address through finish.
- 2Use a stable tripod or phone mount and keep the camera level.
- 3Record at least 60 FPS; 120 or 240 FPS is preferred around impact.
- 4Use bright, even light and avoid ultra-wide lens distortion when possible.
Scrub the video once before drawing. If the head, feet, hands, club, or ball leave the frame—or motion blur hides the club near impact—move the camera back or add light and record again.
