Privacy by design
Your swing belongs to you.
Swingalysis processes videos, drawings, comparisons, saved projects, screenshots, and annotated-video exports locally in your browser.
Swingalysis does not require a name, email, phone number, account, advertising identifier, contact list, or exact location. It has no video-upload, automated-analysis, advertising, or cloud-storage service.
What stays local
Selecting a video creates a browser object URL. Lightweight drawings, transforms, source filenames, and comparison settings can be saved in IndexedDB, but the video itself is never copied there. Playback, drawing, comparison, screenshots, and annotated-video downloads all work without an upload.
No server copy
- Selecting a video opens the local file through a browser object URL.
- Browser saves use IndexedDB for settings only, not video files.
- Project JSON backups exclude the original video files.
- Annotated-video files are rendered and downloaded in the browser.
Operational data
Website measurement is disabled until a Plausible Analytics configuration is connected. When enabled, it measures visits, referral domains, campaign tags, approximate country/region/city, device categories, tool engagement, exports, and clicks to Greenskeeper or the App Store. It never receives video files, filenames, drawings, or exact location. Approximate geography comes from network requests, not GPS. A hosting provider may still process ordinary web-request information needed to deliver the static application, according to that provider's policy.
Website analytics controls
The optional integration uses no analytics cookies and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can also opt out on this device by setting greenskeeper:analytics-opt-out to true in this site’s local storage. See Plausible’s data policy for provider processing details.
Greenskeeper links and invitations
Swingalysis is a free tool by Greenskeeper. Links to our golf tools and iPhone app open separate services; your videos and projects are not transferred. We remember invitation dismissal in this browser session only. Optional website measurement counts link clicks and completed exports without transferring your video or project.
Your controls
Download a project JSON backup whenever you want a portable copy of drawings and settings. Reopen the original source videos when you return to a saved project. Remove local project settings by clearing this site’s browser storage. Because there is no account or cloud copy, Swingalysis cannot recover cleared projects or missing source videos.
